Im not sure where they got their data from but its a common event for women to be paid nearer the entry level of wage tiers whereas men will generally take up the top section. When you consider this happens with graduates and goes right through to senior execs, there is an issue. If the problem is that women are overlooked or dont have the presence to ask for the larger amounts its not clear, and probably still a mix. that said I believe we are failing either to support them or prepare them, and thats not equality
