I don’t agree with affirmative action, but I do recognise that the changes wrought over the last thirty years have enabled a great deal of competant and smart women to build careers in fields which they wouldn’t have had the opportunity to contemplate before. Sure you will get outliers (which are instantly seized upon mind you by those who don’t want to give any ground), but I don’t support those situations either and feel they too should be eliminated.
My philosophy is that everyone should get a fair shake, regardless of gender, sexual proclivity, ideology or religion. Freedom isn’t a one way street
