They are using LCY as vehicle to acquire and develop assets in Australia, and because they knew LCY alone doesn't have the fund to do it so that they would use their (NMDC's) money (as loan to LCY) to acquire and develop these projects, then they would want to make LCY profitable so that LCY is able to repay the debt to NMDC + NMDC gets reliable supply of these commodity + NMDC also gain 50% of the profit that LCY will made in the future.
