Hi Tony, I agree with your sentiment but not your logic.
You state that the SP is not in their controll but in the next breath you say the SP will rise with soild sales. Who do you think is ultimatly responsible for those sales and the company making head way. Kind of ruins your argument. No they do not controll day to day market sentiments, but my God they are the ulitmate captians of where the SP calls into port.
Of course company directors controll the SP. The sp is nothing but a vote of confidence in what the company is doing. Trying to disassiocate the two is ridiculose. Why do you think there are so many discloser laws to the ASX in regards to what directors do. Because what they do directly affect the SP. Why do you think directors are paid in shares? Becuase it ties their efforts directly to their rewards.
To this end of the story I say again it can only be a plus that their rewards are now directly tied to the SP.
