I dont own BH shares, but this has more to do with the logistics of owning direct foreign shares, than the quality of BH.

Understandably, there is a lot of talk about Buffett in investment circles.
But 'talking Buffett' is not the same as 'being Buffett'.
There are a lot of people out there claiming to have discovered Buffett's secrets. There is no such thing.

Buffett has simply applied the best of the already known ideas. He has been the best integrator of ideas.

What Buffett has also done, is explain his ideas and methods. But there is nothing original there. He uses terms like 'look-through earnings' which is nothing more than than the commonly used accounting term 'equity accounting' and 'owner earnings' which mere mortals call 'free cash flow'.

I do however believe that the Buffett investment philosophy is the best.
But you need to bring your own experience to the table.
You need commercial skills and intuition.
And you need to identify you *OWN* opportunities.
You need our own Coca-Colas, Gillettes, Geicos.

Nobody has an automatic right to become rich.
And I can assure you that nobody is going to do it for you.
You simply have to equip yourself with the right skills, becuase only you can make yourself rich. It is a very competitive and intensely private pursuit.

But, the beauty of it is that you can have a lifetime's worth of fun honing and perfecting your skill.

And remember to pass it on to your kids.
Give then an unfair advantage.
Thats what the rich do.
