The problem with Chuck and his dispirited band of nine-year losers is really one of crushed dreams and despair.

The little fella, whom they imagined, was nothing but a one-term wonder has proved extremely durable and could have a term or two still left in him.

Howard is an enigma to those who like Chuck are totally under the thrall of this or that distortion of reality.

I am one who believes that Howard is basically a decent sort of bloke who reads the electorate better than most politicians and knows when to follow the mood of the Aussie electorate. A superb politician!
