Just read an article online from the Sydney Morning Herald.
Apparently the USA want to work with Australia and Canada to ensure they and other countries are not as reliant on China for important minerals ie, Lithium and Cobalt etc.
They will also be looking at lifting or reducing restrictions on current and future companies in the USA who produce these very valuable products. They expect requirement for these minerals to grow by as much as 1000% by 2050.
