I never used to believe my mother when she used to say "this hurts me more than it hurts you". Later in life I began to realise what she meant. I saw a kid today that screamed to get a shopping centre $2 ride after being told "not today".The mother tried to reason with her. She got the ride. Had I been the parent I would have done what my mother would have done. She would have given a smack for the screaming and told that we simply can't get everything we want.
She will scream again next time, today she learnt that it pays off. She will keep demanding for years to come. I pity the man that eventually has her as a partner.
