That sounds great. This is the location (McAdams Gap) where I suggest we all stay as it has a great bar, good area for presenting and a restaurant. It also has a great view of the hills being one of the highest points around. The accommodation is simple and is owned and run by Brian & Heather Prothero. Brian was once the mine manager at the A1 mine and knows the Morning Star backwards too. He is pretty much the king of the local region owning most of the accommodation and various services. Great guy. It’s called The Gap Getaway (no website sadly) and is close to the town of Woods Point (around 15kms). But in the town itself there is the venerable Commercial Hotel which has plenty of good rooms and bonhomie. Either could fit a bunch of 10-15 blokes.

So would people rather stay at The Gap Getaway or the pub? Pub in town, Getaway 15km away. Still trying to get preferred dates and costings for accomodation- please be patient a lot going on at the mine which is more important for us all.
