Wood interview just didn't rate

Channel Ten has made some pretty unfortunate investments in the past - shows such as The Resort and The X-Factor come to mind - but in terms of dollars-for-ratings-points, Douglas Wood would have to be among the worst of them.
Ten reportedly paid Wood up to $400,000 for an "exclusive" interview with Sandra Sully on Sunday. It didn't even reach the ratings top 10 for Sydney on the night.
With 318,000 viewers, it was soundly beaten by Backyard Blitz on Nine (379,000) and Australia's Guinness World Records on Seven (346,000).
It did a little better across the mainland capitals, with a total of 1.2 million viewers putting it at No. 8 for the night.
But that still left it behind Backyard Blitz and World Records.
Ten did much better with its new US medical drama House (1.5 million nationally) and with the Big Brother Live eviction (1.4 million), but the most watched show of the day was Nine's 60 Minutes (1.8 million).
