I wonder if BHP management saw this crisis coming and could have benefit from higher oil price; the 70's oil crisis and stagflation is probably 2 years away and won't look good either - I don't think this Henry and Lamont executed well played their cards too early and fell prey to ESG demands - time will tell of course and see if these guys decide to resign for family reasons as a way to vale their chess mate errors.
