Interesting read butcherano. However, I don't think that Hardman fits the bill at all. WPL needs to aquire an oil producer with good cash flow to tide it over until 2005 when GOM and Mauritanian oil starts to flow.
It would be nice if WPL were to offer > $1.50 for HDR in the medium term - this might kick off a bidding war. But they will only make a move in response to another bid, because HDR's assets are still in the proving-up stage and a big price may be hard to justify until reserves are better delineated.
