re: dorade Dorade is a "commitment well " on block 2, it has been covered by 3d for some time and the JV have had the oportunity to have a long hard look at the results.
Apparently it is a Tertiary sand channel running across the flank of a large salt dome structure.
The 3D shows an Amplitude abnormality which is supported by AVO. Estimated recoverable reserves are in the order of 250mmbls contained in 2 sands.
The overburden is only 700 to 800m thick which gives some concern of biodegradation of the oil, it is also a "new" sand channel structure which is the second concern.
The positives are the 3D and AVO support and the fact that it is the same age as Chinguetti and Tiof.
Sounds OK to me especially given the potential of not only a successful well but a new "sand channel field" which would be number 3.
A well has to be drilled on block2 to maintain the block.
