I get a little tired of the BS in the media / by the media.
The only person that knows if WPL will raise a bid for OSH is PC.
I seriously doubt that he would communicate to the media his intentions in advance.
The logic is so absurd that it defies the senses. Would you communicate to someone in the media that you wanted to try to buy their house for the second time and that you were willing to pay more?
In reality this media piece was planted by someone (i.e. Merryl Lynch) looking to offload OSH stock or drive WPL down (note the absence of verifiable sources). I'd bet nothing comes of it and that WPL has no intention of buying OSH at the current time.
The offer was there, OSH got greedy, the offer is no longer there. End.
The next thing I would look to for a short-term bounce is the day before the red raises rates - Dec 15/16. This could be a good buying opportunity because oil usually rallies as we approach year end and stare down US summer in Jan/Feb. Any damage to the market will be done before this date.
