I mean you're a bit late to the "fossil fuel companies bad" party, the general public and newbie ASX investors already came to that conclusion and bailed out 5+ years ago, and it's exactly why I'm investing here now.
Fossil fuel companies (and Fortescue) will be the green energy companies of the future, not some speccy hotcopper small caps. They're not going to let themselves become irrelevant. But they'll continue to make money from oil and gas while the world still needs it, and that will be for a long time yet
