I genuinely read the article 3 times but admittedly skimmed it the first two times due to work. Industry leaders are stirring the pot most likely but imports will come from interstate not from overseas as shipping costs will rule them out...PNG perhaps maybe possibly. Of course it will be more expensive than locally produced dom gas but the die appears to be set in Victoria.
The US produces gas a a byproduct of oil and flaring is a bit of a no go these days so they have to get rid of it at any cost hence the anaemic prices and their growing interest in cooling and compressing.
