Yes, apart from blaming the share registry by some for the WDS sp cratering, the usual copout or the excuse is so called "shorting", whatever that means.
See self-explanatory link below, it seems that short interest in WDS is extremely low. Look elsewhere for the demise of WDS perhaps.
