I sense that sentiment is shifting just a little in favour of WDS this week.

1. Brent is pushing higher.

2. The big tech stocks that have been flying have come off a little and big investors are looking around for unloved stocks in other sectors to rotate into.

and

3. News of possible gas shortages has sent a quiet panic through governments and financial markets and reminds them that the evil fossil fuel producers might just need to be taken care of for a little while yet.

Personally I’d get a perverse pleasure out of gas supplies running out for a week or two this winter. Sure it’d be uncomfortable but that would be more than offset by the message sent and the discomfort felt by the ‘climate action now’ brigade.

I know a few in my neighbourhood that have the posters in their windows - so when the gas is out I’ll knock on their front door - when they answer in their full ski outfits I’ll say ….so how you all going in there ?…you must be thrilled to bits …no fossil fuels being burnt to keep you warm AT ALL .......that’s what you wanted isn’t it ?….climate action NOW !
