The key issue with the system is its rain and flood risk rather than wind speed. Lots of rain was synonymous with Katrina !!
The Permian basin is to the NW and some ways out of the way. Oil refineries along the Texas coast, of which there are many, will be on hurricane watch.
Any interruption to the oil complex on the back of #Beryl could turn Brent into a risk-on scenario, which bodes well for WDS.
