Michaelirish, many of your responses are responsible, I understand you are a Labor Party man ( correct me if I am wrong), the issue of record heatwaves etc at least in the Sydney Region is very confusing, I dont remember any major bushfires in the Sydney Basin this summer The Cyclone Alfred?, all of the media was salivating on this Cyclone being as bad as possible, its rather sick. 1 of the best ways to improve the urban environment is to plant trees. Sounds simple, plant street trees especially in Sydneys west.
As much as Wind Turbines and Solar panels look and feel good n Fluffy, these are made overseas China and U.S, Denmark ,South Korea, the real Money is not in the installation, it is in the downstream processing and manufacturing. Australia has huge reserves of Natural Gas which should be used, not only to send overseas as LNG , but to use here in South Eastern Australia, The Greens and the Labour Parties in VIC want to even ban gas usage in Victoria. It is only Federal Labor Party Minister Madeline King who has stuck up for Gas.
