mvc, your post sounds like commonsense and you seem to telling it they way it is, all states need to be introducing more baseload power into the mix, this is out of Left field, but would it help, if industries that produce steam and heat were able to add on Co or Tri Generation and produce their own Electricity?, I read a piece about 1 of Exxon-Mobil Refineries in the USA where they harvest heat from the boilers and on some days produce excess heat that then producers Electricity that sent back in the grid. ?
