Albo inherited high inflation from Scomo at 7% when they came in, which had forced the RBA to raise interest rates (which is their job and they do it independantly). Scomo and his inflationary policies (JobKeeper, HomeBuilder and Allowing early access to Superannuation) exacerbated the inflationary environment which was going on globally at the time.
Albo and his cabinet have kept Gov spending at a minimum as to not increase inflation and bring it down during their time in office so that we got the first interest rate cut last month. Read any economic forecast out there and they all think there will be more interest rate cuts this year and inflation to stay low.

Will Duttons domestic gas policy effect WDS though? He keeps talking about "onshore" gas production which i would think is Coal Seam Gas on the East Coast, where as most of WDS is offshore and in the Pilbara (1000s of Km's from Perth, let alone 10,000s KM from the major population on the East Coast). There going to need one hell of a Pipeline if they want WDS gas.
