    It doesn't change the fact the FTCS is undeniably a subsidy, not a deduction.

    Whether you think these companies deserve a $0.506 per litre cash subsidy becuase the vehicles aren't using public roads is another matter.

    When this specific subsidy costs the tax payer billions, and the average small business or individual doesn't get these incentives, it makes you question whether it would be fairer to reduce the excise for everyone and not have such large subsidy in the first place? Cheaper fuel for all and there's a more level playing field.

    The fact someone discredited an entire report on a false assumption is just hilarious and really proves my point.
