I'm optimistic that this will be approved. Reasons being: 1. WA state govt seems to wield a bit of power federally. 2. Throughout the last election the narrative was "renewables backed by gas" and approval fits with that. 3. Watt replaced Plibersek... why? 4. The economy needs the money. 5. Lots of support in the West.
I think there will be some conditional argy-bargy and it won't be clear sailing but I think it will be done. As for what Mr/Ms Market will do it's in the tea leaves. If NO then the panickers will depress the price until sanity prevails. If YES then I think we'll see mid 20s and more especially with the other things (see other posts on WDS) going on that have not been reflected in the SP as yet due possibly to this decision weighing.
