Reading that article, seems like BHP Petroleum left a complete mess there and Woodside is doing a good job of cleaning up the mess they inherited. the oil spill is less than a family swimming pool worth of hydrocarbons, being cleaned up, its moving away from the coast and not a threat to any animal habitats. Seems to me its just a risk that occurs in the general clean up of an old oil rig, nothing to see here, onwards and upwards.
