Near impossible to work out true level of shorts as many off market swaps etc don't get measured by ASX and nor do the options and CFD etc .
Rise does give trend and with any bad news oil and gas gets thumped but takes forever to rise back to previous levels so not hard to understand why shorters do it.. Gambling on good or bad news with WDS and more volatility on bad news and then they have volume to cover as well.
Great to see oil and gas stocks climbing the slow ladder but I do wonder why US money is not flowing into them on a larger scale ?
