Going to be very interesting to see what happens with shorts when numbers start to change. They are tough with deep pockets and often take every short term rise with liquidity as a opportunity to cover , create demand in the process and then take new position at peak levels . . I wasn't expecting a announcement to raise price of WDS and nor were the shorts and usual reaction to positive news is muted slow rise as opposed to bad news where it is a instant fall to new level.

The out of left field ( but not totally unexpected) conflict with Iran really didn't fit with Trump plans for more oil and lower price or was the talk of Trump with Saudi to flood market a precursor to ensure enough supply was available if Iran came under further sanctions or destruction?

So Gaza you have Trump saying USA can make it a coastal resort , Greenland it can control it for strategic reasons, Ukraine wants it for critical minerals but oddly with Iran it is a no comment and a " we didn't participate " in direct action. Messaging from USA really is self interest and mixed from month to month and seems to be based on ultimately increasing internal production of goods by excluding external goods ( by tariffs and controls) and to hold/ develop technology within USA.

So many arms to working out what are the direct price controls actually affecting WDS on any day and key one is instant rise in oil / gas due to war / regional insecurity but all in a climate where world demand consumption looking forward is shrinking.

Lets see what shorts do and if oil actually has any momentum and can hold its new price in a new high risk world.

How bloody wonderful to see a 7.5% rise held !!! Can't remember last such move in a day with green on days previous and more conflict happening . As sad as conflict is it may change the way WDS is valued for its assets and production in place let alone potential.
