No one will build a gas fired gen plant nor put in new local infrastructure while it is a uneven playing field. Then compete against a foreign national company who can undercut anyone for a decade to ensure it gets market share if it wants to play that game?
Bit of a sh@T sandwhich all round apart from the fact that STO and WDS has energy and Australia needs energy and if govt would just stay out of it industry , retail and international energy supply all would have expanded and been cheaper and more sustainable. Bloody politics so now we have infrastructure running down and no reinvestment and any new reinvestment on a smaller scale with a shorter payback required increasing prices. .
