My guess is dividend will be around US 82 cents ($1.27 AUD). Interim was $1.24 AUD. Price of oil jumped about a bit, but I think may have been a tad weaker overall in the second half, although not markedly so. I suspect they will be getting keener to retain funds for capital expenditure going forwards. Still, it’s a final, and I think they will also want it to be at least slightly progressive relative to the interim. Yield would then be around 8%…it still seems quite high. Is the dividend too high, or is the share price too low? I’m inclined to think the latter the more likely.
