I can't stand activist investors. I really despise them. I put them in the same category as people who buy houses near the airport, or your favourite, decades-old live music pub. Then they complain about the noise. Before long, planes can't land after 10pm and the pub is restricted to doing Sunday afternoon poetry readings. Worst of all, these super funds are using *our* money to buy into Woodside -- not to make a profit, but to affect societal change.

Not happy with Woodside? Don't invest in the first place. Start your own damn company if you think you have better ideas.

We are told oil is bad. So is coal. And gas. And nuclear energy. It doesn't leave much, which is kinda the point. These so-called investors have neither Woodside, nor Australia's best interests in mind.
