Lifecycle emissions of a solar panel are significantly lower than gas.
All this anti-woke crap about where does plastic come from, how do they drive a car, chemicals in battery production are all just red herrings deflecting from the real problem. Woodside is currently failing to demonstrate an ability to diversify and may be left , holding the baby through inevitable regulation or declining assets.
Conventional business and exploration hasnt necessarily had a great rate of return, I recall through the late 2010s they had a cost of discovered barrel of well over US$100 per barrel.
