Now that the world press have got a hold of this just sitting on this repeating the same old line of reserving rights will go against FAR. IMO
FAR will be regarded as disruptive to the other JV partners and the interests of Senegal the time is right to bring this to a head or drop it.
Arbitration doesn't mean that the matter can not be resolved with an out of court settlement, what it does mean is that it will focus all parties to a resolution.
Having this remain out of court without a guarantee of resolution is now weakening FAR.
IMO.
