Impressive Numbers for a Company under US sanctions and with "claimed" connections to organised Crime. (Nothing unusual in Russia) Still a bit at a loss about the lack of interest of the French (Total) as well as the Chinese connection. I know Oil is out of favour, but new green fields are still being explored, in particular considering that the size of the new fields are quite small and one has to wonder why. And they want to look for oil in Alaska!!. Not that much makes sense in this space. On the other hand exploration in the Gambia makes sense due to proximity of SNE. This also has some urgency if SNE produces first oil in 2022 and would need to share some of the oil proceeds with the Gambia. How is all of this playing out? No idea. But it has added a bit of interest to our daily lives.
