Yes true, but the brokers, like the predator buying, have leverage...tough to go against them, likewise tough to go against a market trend.
The Q is if you recognise an SP is going down, do you sell down, buy back at lower price, or just hold and avg down? Obviously the 1st one yields a greater result when strength in SP returns. Every investor has their own means to maximise AND minimise gains / losses... just be wary of the SP weakness atm.
