Tonight's ACA told us Woolworths is going to "trial" cashless trading. The trial will cover stores in Melbourne & Sydney for starters.
Cash is slowly being eroded as a means of payment, which plays beautifully into the hands of the ATO. Should cash go, you can bet that every cent you receive will be scrutinised by the ATO. They would love the removal of cash.
Since when does an Australian business dictate what is legal tender in this Country?
As a WOW customer, if they decide to bring this into every store, then I'll be shopping elsewhere.
