the boat is out of the water for 3 months but I've got plenty of gear to do. a boat broke its mooring this morning and hit one of the other boats. no netting for a while as I will wait for the water to clear up.

does anyone remember the loss of the yellow fin whiting fishery in sharks bay in the 70's? my father told me the story a few months ago. the shags where crapping on the boats and this really annoyed some of the fishermen so they wiped them out with shot guns and the whiting disappeared. it turned out that the whiting where eating the shag shit. took a while for them to work it out and the fishery to recover.

as a pro fisherman I don't try to wipe out my business. most of the pros are more green than the greenies our jobs rely on it..
