'A little while back Woolworths stopped having a in shop butcher and all there meat was brought in pre packaged.

I don't normally buy my meat at woolies but will pick up some RTC meat from time to time.

Nont know what it is but seems to be some thing wrong with that pre packaged meat. Lacks taste and I almost get the impression it's been soaked or injected with water.

    Anyone find it simular'

i buy beef from woollies, both in auckland and sydney!

back home in aus, it is local fresh beef!

in nz, it is mainly local fresh beef, with some aussie beef schnitzel and rump, as well!

i like aussie beef, because it is bland tasting, possibly because it is grain feed.

i don't like kiwi beef, as it is strong tasting!

i was watching tv a few weeks ago.

they tested fresh nz meat from woolworths!

a chef thought it was not fresh or something not quite right about it

    and

likewise with the nz government testing lab!

woolworth immediately allow reporters and film crew through their meat works, to prove it was fresh natural meat!

incidently woolworths nz (now rebranded countdown) is one of the most expensive places to buy meat

    and

can be almost twice the price of butchers in south or west auckland!
