As kids we would fight over who got the drumsticks, if you didn't get one you got a wing. No one would fight over the neck.
In the past necks and frames were a waste product, I don't see the logic in them now being priced the same as a whole chook. But while it is I would by a whole chook for the dog than just the necks, I'm sure the dog will not complain
