probably nothing exclusively to do with woolies - but yesterday, watso bought some rtc yoghurt from woolies.

watso probably has never bought full price yoghurt in donkey years - except perhaps to have paid full price for natural yoghurt, to be used as a starter culture - anyway watso paid $1.80 for 900gm yoghurt - but the original price was $5.75 - which works out to be $6.40 per kg.

using a bit of starter culture, real yoghurt costs $1 per kg - and the lactose (ie the natural sugar in milk) is converted into something sour. apart from natural yoghurt, a lot of yoghurt these days is low fat - but to give taste, heaps of sugar is added - no wonder we have an obesity problem

for what it is worth, but watso had the full tub last night - and that was an extra 900calories - and it was ultra delicious
