@GODS BROKER - I met Carl, Phil and Nigel at the AGM. I believe there's no better due dilligence you can do than speak to our board of directors and get a sense for how things operate 'behind the scenes'.
IMO, between them they are very competent and capable. Carl is largely the face of the company given he's the company secretary. He does all the accounts and admin, where Phil/Nigel come from a Geology background. It works as they have their strengths play their respective roles in those areas.
From what I garnished Carl is very astute, he's completely in touch with the O&G market and pretty savvy, if Carl wasn't at the negotiation table with Nero/Argonaut the deal may not have been done. There was some deal-breakers which Carl had to negotiate with both Nero/Argonaut and our board of directors, in order to seal-the deal. I wouldn't underestimate him. One take-out I got from meeting him at the AGM was I felt he's a bit of a 'scrooge' - in a good way. He doesn't like to waste money, keeps costs down - E.g. using cheap auditors, minimalistic offices and tries to reduce registry dilution by conducting small raises.
Don't foget, the BOD hold a lot of share also, so their interests are aligned with ours.

There were two other SH at the AGM, Carl/Phil/Nigel were friendly, approachable and discussed EMP with us SH with respect. Make the effort and go talk to him (the same way), in person - Level 4, 55 York Street, Sydney - and you'll probably change your view.
