I would reckon that the PEP11 opponents will have an orchestrated campaign to flood the relevant MPs and Ministers with protest emails and phone calls - that needs some sort of counterbalance.
I've held BUY since 2010 (last drill) and I would hate to see another opportunity missed due to a whole bunch of misinformation hitting the headlines and scaring the s**t out of the locals.
Decades of offshore drilling and resource recovery in Australian waters without a major mishap seems to escape the protesters - NIMBY syndrome I suppose.
