We export gas because the contracts for the larger resources are usually sold to higher demanding clients for long terms. These contract cannot be cancelled due to international trade agreements. So even if the government wanted to cancel the contracts, which country would we cancel?
That is my understanding. I think BAS have a good future ahead, with a fresh product and I do agree with el mariachi on the fact that global tensions in the arab nations will inflate prices but not as much as people hope for.
