Hi all,

I messaged NOPTA in regards to whether the guidance around there being a decision within a maximum timeframe of 4 weeks is current - given the application type states 4 weeks - I got the below response:

Good afternoon,

I confirm that the OperatingProtocols for Offshore Petroleum Joint Authorities and Supporting Institutions(July 2015) is the most current version.

As set out in section 2 of the above-mentionedprotocol, the maximum timeframe for processingsuspension, extension andvariation applications by NOPTA (after all relevant material hasbeen submitted by the applicant) is 4 weeks.

Decision-makingarrangements for a Joint Authority are not within NOPTA’s remit and I have noinformation to provide, other than that there is no legislatively prescribedtime for decision making.
