The push for Critical Minerals is a funny one.
Yes - We need critical minerals while we also need to process them here in Australia.
Look at the buying spree recently with Gina Rinehart and Chris Ellesion with Critical Minerals.
They also have been accumulating gas portfolios to feed these energy hungry critical minerals process plants.
Gina R has already bought Senex and WGO.
Chris E has bought NWE and plans a ~250Tj a day plant and JVs with others.
These people are not clairvoyants.
Their teams research and they invest accordingly.
With dispatchble energy such as gas the critical minerals dream of processing in Australia does not exist. Either will tomago aluminum and orica kooragang
Politicians are well aware.
Gas is good.
