Not really the same. Options are a bet in a ways, it's hedging and not recognised until converted into heads.
Once it's turned into heads, then the CGT starts ticking down and in 12 months you get 50% discount off profits.
So the longer you take to convert... but it's up to each person on what they want to do. LTH. Quick profits. Sell half to convert etc
