Means very soon after, yes very likely and very soon after.

I would argue that in a modertn context, imminent means, it will occur, very soon.

For example,

The arrival of the special guests is imminent.

In this sentence, there is no caveat being placed on if the special guest will arrive or not.

The sentence is stating that the special guest is arriving and most likely, very soon. If not very soon, then a little late - but they are coming !!!!!

Imminent is an adjective that describes the noun, in this case BUY is stating that the announcement will occur, most likely, just after 2/1/2024, if not then, it will be a little late - perhaps imminent can then be changed to "soon after"

It may not happen overnight, but it will happen !!
