Its happens at all levels of government unfortunately.
They’re no different then the builder who promises to build your house in 6 months, only for them to set the slab a year later.
No different then the car dealer who promises you that warranty if something goes wrong, only for them to act like they don’t know you once you’ve driven away.
Promises are abound until the dotted line is signed, or in this case, until they’re in power, then it’s worthless..
