All the best for the new year and here's hoping for a prosperous 2024.

I write to you with regard to the current PEP11 permit currently sitting with the Joint Authority for review and implementation. As you have alluded to in a number of your media articles, the permit is at the current processing stage due to the unscrupulous actions of the former Prime Minister Scott Morrison. As I am sure you are fully aware prior to Mr Morrison's illegal actions to deny this permit, he held the drilling company to ransom by sitting on the application until such time as he could attempt to use it for his political gain. It has since been proven that these actions were in fact illegal and as such the exploratory permit is back before you to review in accordance with the law, again as you have stated on numerous occasions.

It is my hope in the interests of Australians that you seek to expedite this matter as quickly as possibly bearing in mind the power crisis currently facing not only the East Coast of Australia, but Australia as a whole. The exploratory drill has the potential to secure this country's gas future and has a unique carbon capture storage component to it that will prove to be leading edge within the market.

After three years of this permit sitting in limbo it is up to you as a leader of this country to process it in a fair and timely manner thus restoring confidence not only in the energy sector but also amongst constituents of this great country.
