MSM loves controversy and outrage, no matter how hypocritical and irrational the outraged party may be. If it does get approved then they've stirred the pot enough last night to get plenty of mileage from the sooks. Nevertheless, sensible people will see through the shenanigans and weigh up whether this is ultimately best for the country and the average tax payer or not, and will come to the conclusion that it is. Unfortunately it's politicians who give the final tick, and their ulterior motives usually outweigh the wellbeing of the citizens and country as a whole, no matter the cost.
