THe Wind Turbines were rejected, but not solely, on the proposal to clear wetlands or significantly change these wetlands.
Hundreds or hectares of wetlands, listed as being or "international significance", would have neen removed or significanly impacted for the building of the wind farm. Actually, probably not the site but rather, port facitilites etc. I dont know this detail.
These wetlands are fomally listed and acknowledged as being of "international significance".
The site of the one PEP- 11 drill hole is 26 KM offshore in about 125 metres of water. Might be a bit of scattered rocky reef, but most likely sand bottom.
Plibersek would not have any grounds for her to intervene. She is the Federal Minsiter for environment and water. I dont think she would have any justifiable reason to intervene.
